On a rainy Saturday, September14, parents and children met at the local Learning Center. Youth heard two stories referencing cars and trucks. Youth were given paint sheets and coloring books about car seat safety. Parents were able to gain knowledge on car seat safety and best practices. Parents were able to receive free car seats provided by a Department of Public Health mini car seat grant through Taliaferro Family Connection as well as other educational handouts. Before leaving, parents installed their car seats and buckled their children in the seats correctly.
